Some people would like to have the MSL number to their phones. Well on the Moment it’s VERY easy to get. Most people call Sprint and ask for it. Sometimes they get it. I went about it a little differently.
If you don’t know what a MSL number is, check out the definition from Phone Scoop.
First you will need ConnectBot (free in the market)

This is the opening screen for ConnectBot.

Select ssh in the bottom left and you will be presented with these options. Of course we want to select local.

Now all we need to do is run the command “getprop”.

Now the XXXXXX is your 6 digit MSL#.
This may work for other Android phones but seeing as I don’t have any others, I’m not positive. Leave a comment if this worked for you on a different phone.

For people that would rather not have to scroll through all the data just to get their MSL they can use the following code to get just their MSL
>getprop ril.MSL
